I am disappointed to tell you that I will not be playing against Fernabahce tonight. When we played Stoke, as you saw, I picked up an injury to my ankle. I will be having more tests, but I am sad to think that I will not be able to play for a few weeks.
It is tough watching my team go out there, without being able to play my part on the field. But you know, that is football, and it is important for me to support where I can and focus on my recovery.
Tonight, my team mates are facing a tough match, and I will be supporting from the sidelines. Some young players will have an opportunity to make an impression, and for the team, I believe they can. We played Fernabahce two weeks ago in front of their passionate fans and as you know, we won. Tonight we are at home and this is an opportunity for our fans to help push the team forward.
